Exciting news! I recently moved from Charlottesville, VA to Minneapolis, MN. I’m now shooting weddings in Minnesota and Virginia. I’d love to talk to you about your wedding in either location!
I grew up in South Carolina (Frank Underwood territory) then married a man named Winter from Minnesota. These days I’m fortunate to live with my Minnesota Winter and Barley the Beagle. Life is good.
I’ve been obsessed with paper and cameras for as long as I can remember. Truly. In kindergarten the teachers asked what we were grateful for at Thanksgiving. Everyone else said Mommy, Daddy, siblings… to the chagrin of my parents I said PAPER! I later fell in love with taking photographs and developing film in the darkroom. Not a lot has changed since then- paper and cameras are still my favorite toys.
Aside from photography and art+design, my other hobbies include hiking, camping, biking, skiing, anything animal related, cooking, definitely eating, and traveling (Switzerland and Cambodia are favorite destinations, partially due to the eating hobby.)
I am a volunteer photographer for Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, an organization providing remembrance photography for parents suffering the loss of a newborn.
PHOTOGRAPHY
I photograph weddings with the hope that you will relive your wedding day joy when you look at the photos for years to come. My goal is to create inspired images that capture personality, emotion and authentic beauty. My clients tell me that I put them and their guests at ease. This lends itself to joyful and genuine photos. I photograph in a fresh yet timeless style that incorporates film and digital cameras. Why film? Film has a classic, consistent quality that is especially flattering for portraits.
